WK073 – Loose Chippings

All signs are manufactured in accordance with Chapter 8 of the Traffic Signs Manual Ireland, which outlines the standards in temporary traffic management in Ireland. All Chapter 8 roadworks signs are to be RA2 face material. The chapter specifies the requirements for the use of temporary traffic control measures, such as signs, barriers and cones, in roadworks and other temporary traffic management situations. Loose Chippings: this sign should be used to indicate that there is a risk of airborne chippings or stones due to a surfacing operation being undertaken. At the start of the relevant section of road, this sign may be erected with Supplementary Plate P 080 Slow, or P 011 Cautionary Speed.
