All signs are manufactured in accordance with Chapter 8 of the Traffic Signs Manual Ireland, which outlines the standards in temporary traffic management in Ireland. All Chapter 8 roadworks signs are to be RA2 face material. The chapter specifies the requirements for the use of temporary traffic control measures, such as signs, barriers and cones, in roadworks and other temporary traffic management situations. Cyclists: is available for use where it is considered necessary to warn traffic of the likely presence of a significant number of cyclists.
